ThermoSafe Releases 2025 Sustainability Report

**ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., May 28th 2026 – ThermoSafe, a global leader in temperature-controlled packaging technologies for the life sciences and healthcare industries, today announced the release of its 2025 Sustainability Report. The report marks a significant milestone in ThermoSafe’s evolution as an independent company following its transition from Sonoco Products Company to Arsenal Capital Partners in November 2025.

For many years, ThermoSafe’s sustainability reporting was included within Sonoco’s broader corporate sustainability framework. Now, as a standalone organization, ThermoSafe is telling its sustainability story directly, with a dedicated focus on its own operations, greenhouse gas emissions, product portfolio, customer partnerships and long-term strategy.

“This report represents an important step forward,” said Jim Lassiter, President & CEO, ThermoSafe. “As a standalone company, we now have the opportunity and responsibility to define our own sustainability footprint and priorities. Our focus remains clear: protecting temperature-sensitive medicines, supporting the patients who rely on them, and helping our customers reduce waste and emissions through smarter, performance-driven cold chain solutions.”

The report reflects ThermoSafe’s specific footprint across its products, systems and operations, including the completion of its full fiscal year 2025 greenhouse gas emissions inventory across Scope 1, 2 and 3. It provides a comprehensive overview of ThermoSafe’s sustainability strategy, built around five core pillars: customer-defined sustainability, performance first, continuous improvement, application context and system-level design. These pillars reflect the company’s material-neutral approach to thermal solutions, recognizing that no single material or format is universally best. Instead, ThermoSafe focuses on matching product requirements, shipping duration, distribution lane, reuse potential and operational realities to deliver practical, measurable sustainability outcomes.

“Sustainability in the cold chain requires more than ambition,” said Vivian Berni, Vice President of Business Development, ThermoSafe. “It requires collaboration, transparency and a willingness to challenge assumptions. At ThermoSafe, we work with customers and industry partners to balance performance, operational realities and environmental impact, helping advance solutions that are credible, scalable and achievable.”

The report highlights ThermoSafe’s continued investment in solutions that reduce waste before it is created, including reusable packaging systems such as Orion™, material innovations such as ChillTherm™ Bio, and data-driven design tools that help right-size packaging to specific products, lanes and durations. It also underscores the company’s commitment to patient safety, compliance and real-world performance as the foundation of sustainable cold chain design.

“As we move forward, sustainability will continue to be embedded in how we design, test and deliver solutions,” added Lassiter. “This is not a declaration of arrival. It is a baseline, a commitment and a path forward. We are building on our history while taking ownership of the next chapter as ThermoSafe.”
